Company overview Product overview Range References Auxiliary relays for energy applications Company overview Company overview Integrated into ARTECHE SMART GRID, the Auxiliary Relays Business Head Office and Factory is located in Bilbao, Spain, where a team of 90 professionals works to help you in the quickest and most flexible way. • More than 50 years experience in the manufacture of auxiliary relays for high responsibility applications. • Worldwide presence, with own people, agents or distributors, working to keep the closeness to our customers. • Millions of relays installed in the most important utilities in many different countries. Company overview Continuous investment in production and product improvement as well as in new developments. • Flexible manufacturing processes allow us to deliver our relays in 3 weeks time, or even in 1 day when necessary, testing every single unit before it is sent to the customer. • Strong technical team to assure the high performance of our products and adaptation to any customer requirement. Own laboratory to support the necessary tests during development process. Auxiliary relays for energy applications Product overview Product overview Arteche offers a wide range of high performance auxiliary relays, suitable for the most demanding applications. General Characteristics: • High level of electrical insulation between input and output circuits. • Designed to allow continuous operation even in high temperature ambient, within the whole range. • Extended range (+25%; -30%) available. • Change-over contacts, able to operate directly on HV/MV circuit breakers. • UL Certified • Designed according to: • IEC 61810: Electromechanical all-or-nothing relays. • IEC 60255: Electrical relays. Measuring relays and protection equipment. Product overview Reliability of the ARTECHE relays, makes them suitable for applications of highest responsibility (able to be used in SIL 4 security applications): • Direct trip of HV/MV CB • Trip and lock-out in CB associated to PT • • • • Indication of the CB position Interlockings Trip circuit supervision Temporization of orders Product overview THE ARTECHE PRODUCT RANGE FOR ENERGY APPLICATIONS INCLUDES: INSTANTANEOUS & TRIP RELAYS LATCHING & TRIP-LOCKOUT RELAYS TIME-LAG RELAYS TCS RELAYS SOCKETS AND ACCESORIES Instantaneous relays Output contacts change instantaneously from non-working position to working position when its coil is energized, coming back to the initial nonworking position when the coil is no more fed. Features • Operating time < 20 ms. • From 2 to 8 CO contacts. • Voltage range (+10%/-20%). Extended range available (+25%/30%), SY range. • Possibility of diode or varistor in parallel with the coil to avoid voltage peaks when de-energizing the relay Model Standard With diode With varistor Contacts quantity RD-2 RD-2DI RD-2V 2 RF-4 RF-4DI RF-4V 4 RJ-8 RJ-8DI RJ-8V 8 RD-2 RF-4 RJ-8 Instantaneous relays All these instantaneous relays have the possibility of different options: • Magnetic arc blow out to increase breaking capacity • LED to indicate there is voltage on the coil • Mechanical indication of the contacts position • Trip flag • Push to test button Mechanical contact position indicator Push to test button Trip flag LED Trip relays Different possibilities depending on time required Features • Operating time < 8 ms. Possibility of <5.5ms or even <3ms. • Combination of fast (F) and heavy duty (HD) contacts, allowing their use as back up. • Diode in parallel with the coil always included. Model Operating time Contacts quantity RD-2R < 8 ms 2 F+HD RD-2XR < 5,5 ms 2 F+HD RF-4R < 8 ms 4 F+HD RF-4XR < 5,5 ms 4 F+HD RXR-4 < 3ms 4F RJ-8R < 8 ms 8 F+HD RJ-8XR < 6,5 ms 8 F+HD RJ-4XR4 < 3 ms 4 F + 4 HD RD-2R RD-2XR RF-4R RF-4XR RJ-8R RJ-8XR Latching relays Depending on which coil is energized, the output contacts will change from one position to another. Features • Operating time <20 ms. • From 3 to 8 CO contacts. • Extended voltage range (+25%/-30%) • No consumption in permanence, only during conmutation. • Possibility of diode or varistor in parallel with the coil. • Position indicator on the front plate. Model Standard With diode With varistor Contacts quantity BF-3 BF-3BB BF-3V 3 BF-4 BF-4BB BF-4V 4 BJ-8 BJ-8BB BJ-8V 8 BF-3 BF-4 BJ-8 Trip & lockout relays For tripping functions associated to power transformers, generator, … Features • Operating time <10 ms. • Possibility of manual reset • Diode in parallel with the coil incorporated Model Without manual reset With manual reset BF-3R Contacts quantity 3 BF-4R BF-4RP 4 BJ-8R BJ-8RP 8 BF-3R BF-4R BJ-8R High Burden relays To avoid undesired trips triggered by capacitive discharges, when the distance between the breaker and the relay is long. Features • Accomplish ESI 48-4 EB2 standard. • Instantaneous and Latching relays Model Instantaneous Latching Contacts quantity RF-4R HB BF-4R H, BF-4RP HB 4 RJ-8R HB BJ-8R HB, BJ-8RP HB 8 RF-4R HB RJ-8R HB BF-4R HB BJ-8R HB Time-lag relays The output contact actuation is directed by a timing, which is set on the front plate of the relay. Features • Several different timing functions available in one relay: on pickup, on drop-out, cyclic... • From 2 to 8 CO contacts and possibility of timed and instantaneous contacts in the same relay. • Wide range of timing: from 0,03 s to 99 h. • Voltage range -30%, +25% Models Time-lag contacts Instantaneous contacts TDF-2 2 - TDF-4 4 - TDF-22 2 2 TDJ-8 8 - TDJ-44 4 4 TDF-2 TDF-4 TDJ-8 TCS Relays Supervise the trip circuit in both switch positions open and closed. Features • The supervision is made using a small current that flows through the coil, maintaining the relay permanently energized . • This supervision current is small enough to avoid unwanted trip. • In case of internal failure, it does not trip the circuit breaker, as it integrates an internal device that limits the current that flows trough the breaker. • 2 output contacts. Model Coils supervised VDF-10 1 VDJ-30 3 VDF-10 VDJ-30 Contactors for DC current Possibility to open high currents in inductive circuits Features • Plug-in, for easy replacement. • Possibility of fast contactors or timed contactors. • From 2 to 8 NO contacts. Model Contacts quantity CD-2 2 CD-2R, CD-2XR 2 CTF-2 2 CF-4 4 CF-4R, CF-4XR 4 CTF-4, CTF-22 4 CJ-8 8 CJ-8R, CJ-8R 8 CTJ-8, CTJ-44 8 Sockets and accessories Wide range of sockets Security pins • For mounting on DIN rail or flush • They allow the codification of the relay mounting. • Front or rear connection. • Screw or faston terminal. • IP10 and IP20 protection rating. and socket, in a way that a certain relay can only be plugged in a certain socket. • The geometry of the ARTECHE pins allow many different combinations. Sockets and accessories Retaining clips Different types of retaining clips to assure the relay will not get out of the sockets due to vibration. • E0 – universal, valid for any combination of socket + relay. Only applicable instantaneous and time-lag relays. • E** - clip, depends of the relay+socket to combination Auxiliary relays for energy applications References References Thousand of relays in operation worldwide confirm the reliability of the ARTECHE relays.
