Why is there such a difference? What happens to these bones as you grow up? Bones rely on the muscles and joints to move. How do they all work together? MUSCULAR SYSTEM Skeletal muscle Cardiac or Heart muscle Smooth muscle Muscles provide strength, balance, posture, movement and heat for the body to keep warm. DIGESTIVE SYSTEM The break-down of FOOD!!! All mammals have a respiratory system… even dolphins! CIRCULATORY SYSTEM Passes nutrients, gases, hormones, and blood cells throughout the body. Helps fight disease Controls body temperature/PH Maintains homeostasis! <--- HUH? NERVOUS SYSTEM If the body had a Main Office, the brain would be it!
