Maintains a high degree of independence and accountability for instituting and evaluating this specialized program under the general supervision of the Walla Walla County Superior Court. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Court Services with direct supervision by the Assistant Director. Working Conditions: Work is performed primarily in an office setting, at off-site agencies and evening meetings. The duties require sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, sense of touch, finger dexterity, and ability to grip with fingers and hands; lift and carry up to thirty (30) pounds. Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computers and other office equipment, sufficient hearing and speech ability to communicate verbally and in written forms. Requires ability to operate a passenger vehicle and the wearing of rubber or plastic gloves for first aid related activities. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in psychology, social work, sociology, criminal justice criminology or business, public or judicial administration as well as three (3) years of work experience in court administration, agency management, drug treatment, mental health treatment or social work. A master’s degree in one of the above educational areas may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. Consideration may be given to applicants without a Bachelor’s Degree with more than ten (10) years of direct experience related to the function of this position. Requires no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of five (5) years immediately prior to date of employment. Must possess valid driver's license; and pass all testing and examinations which measure the ability to perform essential job functions. Tests may include but are not limited to physical agility, written, oral, skill, polygraph, psychological, medical, and a comprehensive, in-depth background investigation.
