Day 1 - Friday 23 September If you are a therapy radiographer interested or involved in radiotherapy planning, CT and/or MRI simulation, or a diagnostic radiographer performing radiotherapy planning scans, this is the course for you. Other professionals developing and supporting this work are also welcome to attend. Parallel sessions • Introduction to Radiotherapy • Radiotherapy technology • Patient pathway in Radiotherapy • • • Overview of Imaging for Oncology CT Technology and clinical application MRI technology and clinical application Day 1 will involve both joint and parallel sessions to: i. ii. improve understanding of patients’ imaging pathway, from diagnosis to disease staging, treatment planning and post treatment surveillance build foundation skills to support current needs and increase in demand for MRI simulation Day 2 (morning only) will consist of parallel practical sessions in the Radiotherapy and MRI department. Joint sessions • MRI safety and update Site specific diagnostic and radiotherapy imaging talks including:• Prostate • Bladder • Breast • Head and neck • Gynaecological Although accommodation is not included in the course fee we can supply a list of accommodation available locally. We recommend early booking as the choice in Sutton is limited. Day 2 - Saturday 24 September There will be parallell sessions in MRI and Radiotherapy departments aiming to demonstrate aspects of diagnostic imaging to therapy radiographers and radiotherapy treatment and verification to diagnostic radiographers.
