Students must complete a service learning portfolio. AP Capstone Program * * * * A two-year seminar and research course that explores real-world issues while focusing on developing critical analysis, communication and investigative skills. Two Courses-AP Seminar and AP Research are designed to complement and enhance the in-depth, discipline-specific study. AP Capstone Diploma-Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in both the AP Capstone courses and on four additional AP exams of their choosing. AP Seminar and Research Certificate-Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in both of the AP Capstone courses but not on the four additional AP exams. What is a C.L.A.S.S. Porfolio? * APS Community Leadership And Service * Advanced Placement Scholarsabove Self Project A C.L.A.S.S. (Community Leadership And Service above Self) service-learning portfolio is required for all students in APPX Program. C.L.A.S.S. can assist students in demonstrating leadership potential in their focus area, aid the student in making a difference either locally or globally, and facilitate individual student growth. C.L.A.S.S. * APS Community Leadership And Service * Advanced Placement Scholarsabove Self Portfolio The student will complete a service-learning portfolio fulfilled through the successful completion of the AP Capstone Diploma Program in an effort to address a social issue either on the local or global level aligned with their concentration focus area. C.L.A.S.S. will also help meet the community serive requirements for the VA Board of Education’s Excellence in Civics Education Seal and will qualify students for consideration of the President’s Volunteer Service Award. The student will submit a summary, reflection, and portfolio of the project during the beginning of the student’s senior year. *Any Questions?? *
