and Sustainer of the universe alone and none
rivals Him in any way. He is completely perfect
and there is nothing comparable to Him, He is
free from any deficiencies, dependencies or
evils.
Muslims refer to God as Allah, which comes
from the Arabic language.
Arabic speaking
Christians and Jews use the name Allah as well.
The actual name Allah is a word encompassing
all his attributes and that which he refers to
Himself by, such as The Unique, The Most
Merciful, The One who has infinite knowledge
and wisdom.
Furthermore, the name Allah is
even more fitting because the word has neither
gender nor plural. Allah is not the God of just
Muslims and Arabs but of all of mankind and
the universe. Allah is the same one true God

In
actuality these beliefs do not make logical
sense; for how can an idol help an individual if
it can not even stop flies from landing on it?
How can someone’s fate be changed by
crossing fingers, or by a piece of iron that was
nailed to a pony’s hoof?
Is it not rational to

In Islam, it is not sufficient to just believe in
God; a person must combine their belief with
the sincere worship of Allah alone.
This
worship is not limited to praising and praying
only, but every inward and outward action that
is pleasing to Allah.
A Muslim confidently believes that there is no
might or power except with Allah so when they
are in danger they turn to Allah first for their
protection.
When they do wrong they fear
Allah because they know that they can never
hide what they have done from Him; when they
have a need they ask from Allah first and have

hope and reliance that He will give them what
they ask for or better than it.
In accordance with Allah’s commands, Muslims
do not draw similarities between The Creator
and the created. Allah has informed mankind
about attributes He has such as His sight and
hearing, however His seeing and hearing are
incomparable to those of any created being.
His are not weak or limited, rather there is
nothing that He can not see or hear, He can see

It is prohibited in Islam to attribute things to
Allah that do not befit His magnificence and

Some examples of these things
