The PSM accepts inputs from the AC grid, renewable power sources, and battery systems. That power is then output through 16 Class 2 channels to provide efficient, safe, low-cost DC power to lighting, A/V systems, IT/wireless, security systems, room controls and many other devices. The unit mounts easily in any ceiling grid or a variety of other locations, and operates virtually invisibly to keep your systems running at their maximum efficiency. > Regulate Nextek Maximum Power Point Tracking Controller Photovoltaic arrays produce renewable power that can vary greatly throughout the day due to changing weather conditions. Nextek’s Maximum Power Point Tracking Controller regulates this power, as well as that produced by most DC current generators. The MPPT constantly monitors input power from the DC source, and determines the maximum wattage (the point at which both operating voltage and current can be maximized) to deliver to the load. This critical piece of a DC system works in concert with the Nextek Power Server Module to deliver DC directly from renewable energy sources to DC electrical loads. > Control PS Manager PS Manager is Nextek’s for programming and wirelessly controlling a Power Server Module. It is included with all PSMs. Its functions include: • View system voltage, power draw, load currents and more; • View renewable energy inputs such as solar, small wind or battery power; • Control load circuits, turn any or all channels on and off, create schedules for preset lighting times; • View logs detailing energy usage as well as startup and fault behavior. > Load Nextek DC Ballasts Nextek Ballasts are low-voltage, 0-10 Volts DC dimming fluorescent ballasts that feature a programmed rapid start design and ultra quiet operation. The programmed rapid start design increases the life expectancy of your lamps and lets you turn them on to any dimmed level without flashing to full brightness. State-of-the-art phase control operation provides continuous, flicker-free dimming from 100% to 10%. Nextek Ballasts run on efficient, safer and more cost-effective DC. They have Inherent Thermal Protection, and can be installed using Class 2 wiring methods, which do not require grounding, conduit or junction boxes. They also eliminate the rectifiers found in AC ballasts, resulting in less heat and power loss, and greater efficiency. Ballasts are available in one and two-lamp varieties for T5,T8, CFL, BIAX and Emergency Ballast configurations. > Load Nextek Ballast Conversion Kit Nextek’s Ballast Conversion Kit makes it easy to switch your existing luminaires from AC to more efficient and cost-effective DC power. Previously UL listed luminaires can be converted from UL 1598 to the UL 2108 standard in just a few minutes. Conversion packages are perfect for both building retrofit projects and OEM DC luminaire conversions. They are compatible with EMerge Alliance® standards.
