Simple, cost effective and simple to operate, these are some of
the key features for the most simple control of dimmable control
gear PCA, TE one4all and LED one4all from TridonicAtco.
switchDIM: Finger tip dimming via the mains.
Switch and dim TridonicAtco PCA ballasts/transformers and
LED modules through the use of a standard push-to-make
switches. This use of simple technology is the ingenious story
behind the development of this widely used sophisticated
technology. Compared to other cost effective control solutions
the switchDIM concept provides not only cost benefits – for
example push-to-make switches are a lower cost solution when
compared to a potentiometer, but they also offer many additional
features such as multipoint control as standard.

The easiest method of switching and dimming TridonicAtco’s
control gear is by using the mains as a control signal. An
internal conversion of the mains voltage into digital signals with
a logarithmic dimming curve enables eye optimised control.
Thus switchDIM combines perfectly with the demands of the
most sophisticated of lamp management solutions.

Multi point control with push-to-make switches
A range of commands can be recalled by simply adjusting
the timing of the push interval. So a short push-interval will switch
on/off all connected PCA, TE one4all or LED one4all depending
on the actual operation state. A longer push-interval enables the
dimming feature which follows a predefined alternating dimming

cycle.
When an additional ambient light sensor SMART LS II is
connected to the PCA ballast the light level or operating range
of the ballast can be adjusted to provide ambient light control.
Therefore, switchDIM provides the perfect solution for intelligent
luminaires (picture 3).
A switchDIM application can be synchronised with a longer pushinterval greater than 10 s, e.g. after commissioning. All luminaires
then synchronise and dim to 50 % and at the same time harmonise dimming direction.
Consequently straightforward
Simple wiring that requires a bridge from the Neutral terminal
to one of the interface outputs (D1/D2). The switched line is then
connected to the second interface terminal. To upgrade the
system to DSI or DALI control involves no major wiring other than
to remove the Neutral link.

To reduce voltage stress across input terminals, Neutral from mains and from
the switchDIM input should run adjacent to each other (picture 1), that means
in this kind of applications the right polarity is important.

Electronic ballasts PCA EXCEL one4all and PCA ECO
Fully digital, electronic ballasts for the dimming of fluorescent lamps. Digital lighting control
adapted to eye sensitivity with 1 %, 3 % or 10 % up to 100 % luminous flux. Combines four
unique control facilities via the same terminals. The simplest possible switch control system
with switchDIM, constant light control with SMART, interference free, precise control via DSI
signals or individually addressable control via DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface).
The PCA EXCEL one4all includes a special switchDIM memory, this enables the ballast to
remember the last operating mode in the event of a mains interruption be this light value or
standby mode.
Electronic ballasts PCA EXCEL one4all 120–277 V
Fully digital, electronic ballasts for the dimming of fluorescent lamps. Universal voltage
input for 120 V AC and 277 V AC supply voltages. Digital lighting control adapted to eye
sensitivity with 1 % or 3 % up to 100 % luminous flux. UL as well as cUL approved. The
simplest possible switch control system with switchDIM, interference free, precise control
via DSI signals or individually addressable control via DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting
Interface).
Transformer TE one4all
Fully digital, electronic isolating transformer for the dimming of low-voltage halogen lamps.
Combines three unique control features via the same input terminals. The simplest possible
switch control system with switchDIM, interference free, precise control via DSI signal or
individually addressable control via DALI.
Direct-Current-Transformer TE-DC one4all
Fully digital, electronic DC transformer for the dimming of low-voltage halogen lamps.
Combines three unique control facilities via the same input terminals. The simplest possible
switch control system with switchDIM, interference free, precise control via DSI signals or
individually addressable control via DALI.
Safety converter LED 0025 K210
Fully electronic safety converter for the dimming of LED light sources for 12 or 24 V DC. The
LED 0025 K210 series combines three unique control facilities via the same input terminals.
The simplest possible switch control system with switchDIM as well as interference free,
precise control via DSI signals or individually addressable control via DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface).
