1. What are the effects of aerosols on Earth’s global temperature?
- The effects of aerosols on global temperature could rather be scattering
or absorbing radiation. Bright colored aerosols reflect radiation which
causes cooling in the climate, and darker colored aerosols causes the
warming of the climate.
2. What are the ways by which humans add more aerosols to the atmosphere?
- Human activities such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels can
alter land surface which can result in dust aerosols entering our
atmosphere.
3. How do CO2 and aerosols differ in terms of their effect on climate?
- Carbon dioxide mostly absorbs heat and radiates it, while aerosols is the
opposite since most aerosols generate a cooling effect rather than carbon
dioxide.
