Take the index card and place it gently on top of the beaker. 2. Place the penny gently on the index card over the mouth (opening) of the glass. 3. Flick with your fingers as quickly as possible the index card off of the glass. A downward angle gives the best results. Observe what happens to the penny. 4. Place the index card and penny back onto the beaker like before. 5. As quickly as possible, pull the index card out from under the penny. Observe what happens. Questions: 1. What happened to the cardboard when you flicked it? 2. What happened to the coin both times? 3. Did the experiment support or refute your hypothesis? Explain. 4. Why did this happen?
