4. Cleaning and Maintenance
Preheat
HUMID-BHR/HUMID-BH/HUMID-BM series High-Flow Heated Respiratory Humidifiers achieves
humidification by water. If regular cleaning, disinfection and replacement of parts are not carried out, the
instrument may be at risk of bacteria and patient infection.
The respiratory humidification therapeutic instrument must be cleaned after use each time and before use
again.It must be cleaned and disinfected in case it is used for different patients.
Cleaning
Daily cleaning: tubes, nasal cannulas, HUMID-BH humidification chamber
After use, run the dry mode, remove and wash the nasal cannulas with clean water, and then connect the
tubes and dry the nasal cannulas; after drying, remove the HUMID-BH chamber for water rinse.
Weekly cleaning: respiratory humidification therapeutic instrument, nasal cannulas, HUMID-BH
humidification chamber.
Disconnect the instrument from the power, remove the nasal cannulas, HUMID-BH humidification chamber
and wash the nasal cannulas with warm water added with neutral detergent.
Warning: HUMID-BM humidification box, heating tubes are forbidden to be cleaned.
Use a clean, lint-free disposable cloth damped with neutral detergent to wipe from both ends of the elbow,
making sure that all dirties is removed.
Use a piece of alcohol cotton to wile the elbow and its vicinity, making sure that all dirties is removed.

At the end of using ,first remove the nasal cannula, disconnect the oxygen source, long press the on/off button for 3
seconds, then entering the drying mode, the humidifier will give a sound and screen reminder to turn off the oxygen, and
make sure to turn off the oxygen source.After that, press the on/off button gently to cancel the alert status.The drying
mode is to dry the circuit by heating the circuit for 99 minutes. After the end, the device will be in standby mode.
At this time, external power needs to be turned off.If want to turn off the drying mode forcibly, pls press the on/off button
again for 3 seconds, but the moisture stored in the circuit may be affects to reuse.
Warning: after use, be sure to turn off the oxygen to avoid the accumulation of oxygen in the therapeutic device .
Warning: do not wear a nasal cannula during drying to avoid heat damage.

since it may be unable to reach to pre-set
temperature.
A sudden change of working conditions may
cause an alarm. Start the instrument at ambient
temperature and keep it run for 30 min, then
restart the instrument.
In the started state, once the external
power supply is disconnected, a sound
alarm will be generated in 10s and
persists more than 120s.
Check to confirm that the power supply is
connected well;

6.2
Check if the shielded
wire fixed properly

Remove 5 screws on the front and back shell of the device, remove the top cover of the high-flow respiratory
humidifier and remove it
Get the shielded wires and reconnect the wires of the display. Observe whether the circuit board wiring
harness is virtual connection with the screen wiring, if not; go ahead into the next step.
Replace the LCD screen

Connect the lead wire such as the screen wire, turn on the power, and confirm whether the LCD screen has
backlight, and if the whole machine works well after start.
If the power supply is connected normally, there is backlight, and the whole machine is working normally,
the LCD screen is not qualified, and please replace the LCD display and re-assemble on the main machine.
If the display is still abnormal, replace the LCD panel, the product can work normally.

6.1

Remove the whole machine screw, remove the top shell and check whether the vertical socket is damaged.
If it is damaged, replace the socket with the side out socket seat, and then cover the shell to confirm whether
it can work normally, such as abnormal further analysis, replace the power panel on the side. Power plate
12V often causes the fan to not work.

If the main board or power plate unqualified, replace the power plate and main board, and assemble properly
to confirm whether the fan is working correctly.
If it works abnormally, the fan is not good, please replace with a new fan.
7. Testing and calibration
7.1
Test the resistance of
the heating plate and sensor with
multimeter
Fix the screw

Remove the 5pcs screws fixed on the covers both front and back. Push the clip of shielded wire, remove the
shielded wire, and then remove the top cover. Test the wire of heating plate by multimeter, the resistance is
325Ω±10%. The resistances of two sensors on heating plate are 1K and 10k, the values differ from
temperature, and detailed value refers to specification. If resistance shows as open circuit or short circuit,
please replace the heating plate.Remove the screws on the heating plate by screwdriver. Take the plate
down. As shown on the picture, replace with new heating plate and fix the wires properly.
