Sports Medicine Internship End-of-Year Evaluation Sheet and Application for SATA Paid Position In order to improve upon this internship program and in preparation for the upcoming fall semester, we would like you to fill out this information sheet. Our goal is to evaluate the quality of your experience and finalize the hiring of student athletic training aides. If you do have an interest in working in the fall, please read on… The mission of our sports medicine program is to employ qualified students as athletic training aides to assist the certified athletic trainers in maintaining a high standard of care for the Wellesley College varsity student-athletes. In addition, student athletic training aides are provided an opportunity to gain practical skills in the field of sports medicine. We are looking for people who are committed, skilled, and available during the academic school year. You will be expected to work between 5-8 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends, and to constantly work to improve your sports medicine skills. When the fall season begins, we need student athletic training aides who are able to execute many skills in a busy, hectic environment. Pre-requisites are: Getting certified in first aid, CPR, AED (if hired, you may attend on-campus re-cert) Successful completion of an interview with the athletic training staff Completed and submitted all forms from internship Available at least 2 days a week and most weekends Willingness to work hard and occasional long hours Ability and willingness to behave in a professional manner and respect confidentiality at all times Ability to take initiative, see what needs to be done, and do it Willingness to ask questions and learn from different experiences High tolerance for last minute schedule changes (weather, team changes) Very strong sense of humor Willingness to initiate communication Very strong skills in competencies that were taught in the classroom Please answer the following questions: Please list ALL commitments that you foresee having during the next academic year (ex. clubs, student government positions, residence hall positions, class schedule etc).
