Medical Premium Reimbursements
Employees covered on someone else’s Medical Plan
The medical premium reimbursement plan is open to employees who meet the eligibility
requirements for CRJ’s medical plan.

Employees who are defined as working full time status
Employees who decline coverage on CRJ medical plans, because they are covered on someone
else’s plan (such as a spouse, dependent child, an employee on another employer’s plan) are
entitled to be reimbursed up to $125.00 per month.
Employees will be eligible for premium reimbursements after 30 days of full time employment,
in accordance with the enrollment wait period for medical benefits through CRJ.
There is no premium reimbursement for employees who are covered on someone else’s dental
insurance plan.
In order to be reimbursed monthly, employees must provide proof of coverage on someone else’s
plan. In addition the employee must provide to CRJ at the time the reimbursement is requested,
a copy of a pay stub from the person providing their medical coverage, showing:


The name of the individual who is providing the coverage
The pay stub showing the amount paid for medical coverage
Once the reimbursement information is received by Human Resources it is processed through the
payroll and paid on the second payroll of the month. It is added to the employee’s pay check as
an addition to the employee’s gross as a taxable amount.
There will be no reimbursements made without proper documentation.
There is no specified time by which the employees must submit for reimbursements, they are
however expected to submit within a six month period.
Employees who are eligible, but do not submit for reimbursements on a regular basis will be
allowed to submit for medical premium reimbursements no farther than the previous six month.
All other reimbursements will be forfeited.
Eligible expenses submitted after an employee terminates employment will not be processed.
Benefits are available to active full time employees only while employed by CRJ.
