The Scripps Research Institute, GENETICS Principal Investigator: Nathalie Franc E-Mail: [email protected] Research Description: A postdoctoral position is available in The Department of Genetics at The Scripps Research Institute to study the molecular mechanisms of phagocytosis of apoptotic cells and bacteria using Drosophila as a model organism. The candidate should have strong conceptual and experimental background in Genetics, and/or Molecular and Cell Biology; experience with Drosophila Genetics would be preferred although not absolutely essential. The candidate should be independent, proactive, hard working and should enjoy working in a team; candidates will have at least one first‐author publication in a good journal, and should have the potential and commitment to become self‐funded.
