“The Kami Lyle Sit-A-While, real songs, real writers, fake fireplace”
Join Cape Cod’s own multi-talented singer-songwriter, Kami Lyle, for a series of
unique evenings in 2014 with her favorite singer- songwriters from around the
country. Kami will be hosting each round introducing her fans and friends to
wonderful artist-performers in a relaxed Cape Cod living room setting, fake fireplace
and all. Kami, with her house bandmates Joey Spampinato (founding member of
NRBQ) and Tad Price, (Steve Forbert’s 35th Anniversary Tour guitarist) will welcome
nationally renowned singer songwriters. The special guests have toured the country
as performers and their songs have been recorded by Kathy Mattea, Martina
McBride, Lee Ann Womack, Trisha Yearwood, Keith Urban, Maura O’Connell & Susan
Werner. These artists have also collaborated with Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jonatha Brooke, Shawn Colvin, John
Jennings, Lyle Lovett, Bela Fleck, Nickel Creek, David Wilcox, Emmylou Harris and too many others to mention.
Mountain Stage, Austin City Limits, & The White House have hosted some of these talented songwriters.
Susan Cattaneo has been a songwriting professor at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music for 13 years.
She’s written songs covered by numerous artists in Nashville, and her tunes helped launch the careers of Jillian
Cardanelli and Erica Nicole. Cattaneo, the singer-songwriter, has released three albums of mostly upbeat,
catchy pop-country music, “Brave and Wild,” in 2009, “Heaven to Heartache” in 2011 and “Little Blue Sky” in
2012. You’ll hear a blend of country, rock and soul with sparkles of blues and folk – music that would slide into
the comfort zone for fans of Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Mary Chapin Carpenter or Sheryl Crow. Cattaneo’s
life is a mixture of teaching, writing and recording in Nashville, gigging around Boston, occasional touring, and
raising a family in Medford, just north of Boston. “I’m a mom,” she says, “and that’s an important part of my
life. Family is hugely important. I have a boy, 13, and a girl, 11. My husband works in digital marketing and is
my manager.”
Scarlet Keys is a songwriting professor at the Berklee College of Music. Scarlet is a talented and nationally
touring vocalist and pianist. She has played solo piano for the past fourteen years in San Diego, Nashville,
Boston, and New Hampshire. She has performed with Anna Wilson and with the hit songwriter/producer
Monty Powell at the New Orleans Arena at the Bass Masters Classic for ESPN. She was a full-time staff
songwriter for Warner Chappell Music/The New Company for two years in Nashville, and has written and
performed with some of the best songwriters, producers, and artists in Nashville and Sweden. Her recordings
include “Gonna Dance,” co-written with recording artist Anna Wilson, “I Wanna Be Rich” by Canadian artist
Krysta Scoggins, and “So Much Love to Make” by Swedish artist Jill Johnson, which went gold in its first month.
She released her first CD, Pieces, in 2000 and is planning another CD of original music soon.
