The Noble Eightfold Path. Is often symbolised by the “Dharmachakra”; the “Wheel of the Law”. Right View Right View means that you must begin your journey towards enlightenment in the right frame of mind; you must agree with the teachings of the Three Marks of Life & the Four Noble Truths. Prajna Right Intention Right intention means that you must follow the dharma for the right reasons; To free yourself. Out of love and compassion for all beings. Prajna Right Speech Right speech means that you must avoid speaking harm, telling lies, or gossiping, and practice being truthful & promoting harmony. You must also value silence Sila Right Action Right action means that you must behave well. Do not; Destroy life, steal, misuse sex, over-indulge the senses, lie, or cloud the mind with alcohol or drugs. (The five precepts) Sila Right Livelihood Right livelihood means that you must earn your living in a way that does not involve going against Buddhist principles. Work should be of benefit to all, and not harm others! Sila Right Effort Right effort means that you must make a constant, positive effort to think and act in a positive and good way. This is very difficult & requires constant effort! Samadhi Right Mindfulness Right mindfulness means that you must be really aware of the world around you all the time; do not be distracted, concentrate on the way things are. Live in the moment! Samadhi Right Concentration Right concentration means the regular practice of meditation.
