ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group North America is pleased to announce that the FireSentinel® flame retardant conveyor belt product line is now available for the mining industry in the NAFTA region. The introduction of this new product launch is being made in conjunction with the International Coal Prep 2014 exhibition and conference from April 29 to May 1 in Lexington, Kentucky. “The FireSentinel® flame retardant conveyor belt was designed at ContiTech’s research and development laboratory to provide a safe, high performance compound for underground mining applications,” said Christoph Seeger, market director for ContiTech Conveyor Belt North America. “We are pleased to offer a diverse product portfolio to ensure the right product is available for each underground mining application,” he continued. FireSentinel® exceeds the requirements of MSHA CFR Title 30, Part 14 and is available in widths of up to 126 inches with constructions ranging from 3-330 to 6-2200.
