Totech International has its patented chemical HVR2299 and HVR
range which is extremely effective on wax / asphaltene maintenance,
removal sector down hole, in transport and storage. The associate
companies which come under its various agencies across the GCC, all
offer services which include an HVR2299 range application as part of
their solution.
HVR 2299 is a chemical which was created to improve the processing
of petroleum or petroleum residues, wax and a modified version HVR
9514 to dissolve and disperse asphaltene. It is a speciality chemical
that uses the concept of fluidity to improve the viscosity of oil to
provide an ideal solution for mobility, dissolution and dispersion of
organic obstructions, residues and solids.
All our applications are designed to perform in a managed process
without heat and steam, or abrasive and aggressive chemicals which
cause corrosion. In the wax sector we specifically replace hot oiling.
Heat can release poisonous volatile organic compounds such as H2S
(Hydrogen Sulphide) and other sulphur related gases, heat is the
major cause of these gases being released.
Harnessing unique chemistry, the product dramatically affects the
viscosity of heavy and extra-heavy oils, waxes and asphaltenes.HVR
2299 is manufactured in an ISO 9001 facility, with green credentials
using natural products such as agricultural oils where possible.
HVR is biodegradable, requires no heat and as a result has significant
environmental benefits over traditional viscosity changing
techniques. This invention relates to compositions and methods of
processing petroleum or petroleum-based residues, particularly
where said petroleum or petroleum-based residues are difficult to
extract or obtain. The compositions of the invention generally help
to reduce the viscosity of petroleum or petroleum-based residues,
such as crude oil and thereby enhance its ability to flow. The
compositions of the invention comprise a non-fatty acid-based
unsaturated organic component and a fatty-acid based organic
component.

manufacturing all products in a purpose built chemical blending
facility to be built in the UAE, including a testing laboratory with

HVR 2299 scope of works & applications;
HVR 2299 is specifically efficient in dissolving paraffin and
asphaltenes in a variety of applications such as;
 Removing organic obstructions in perforations
 Removing organic obstructions in tubing downhole
 Removing organic obstructions in flow lines and smaller
pipelines
 Dissolving organic residue and obstruction in storage tanks
 Dissolving organic residue and obstructions in transport
vessels such as railcars
Heavy oil, dissolved wax and asphaltene remains in a fluid state when
it is in suspension with HVR2299.Through a separation process, the
HVR2299 can sometimes be separated, recovered and reused (the
resulting oil returns to its previous composition and state of
viscosity).
