For the rollout of a new rotation program (within the EMEA region) for Engineering graduates we
are looking for:
Process Engineer
The CIS EMEA Operations rotation program will span over a 2 year period, during which time you
will participate in six different functional assignments. Assignments will vary in timing – from one
month’s duration, with others up to 8 months. For our European Opportunities, we have identified
three manufacturing sites to support this program - Bideford in the UK, Trutnov in Czech Republic
and Bydgoszcz in Poland. The rotation program will provide opportunities for you to participate in
extensive training programs and afford you the opportunity to network and travel to the sites
selected for this program. On completion of the 2 year program, you will continue in full time
employment at your site of hire.
Role Statement:
A chemical engineer is responsible for set up, control and optimization of manufacturing
processes in manufacturing of plastic tubes. Furthermore it needs to be ensured that
Environmental and Health and Safety Legislation is complied with, particularly during the
introduction or modification of new processes.
Main Tasks / Responsibilities
 working closely with product and project engineers to ensure the processes are set up to
provide maximum output levels and efficient running of the production
 conduct and lead new materials trials, gather data, make conclusions and recommend to
engineering next steps or corrective actions
 conduct and lead new product trials, conduct tolerance (dimensions etc.), make conclusions
and recommend to engineering next steps
 conduct process optimization trials and production runs including its troubleshooting
 optimizing production by analyzing processes;
 working closely with suppliers of materials
 assist in designing plant and equipment configuration so that they can be readily adapted to
suit the product range and the process technologies involved, taking environmental and
economic aspects into account;
 applying new technologies;
 ensuring that potential safety issues related to the environment, the process and the product
are considered at all stages.
Key Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge:
 Must have minimum a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably materials engineering).
 You will have minimal supervision at all times. It is very important that you are a self-starter
and very highly motivated together with a flair for innovative philosophies.
 Must have excellent written, verbal, presentation and analytic skills.
 English language skills a must
 Flexible to work in an international environment
General
This position is part TE Connectivity University Relations Program in Europe. The role during the
assignment (2 year period) will require you to travel and spend periods of time at all of the 3 sites
identified for this exciting program. This is fully sponsored by the Company. On completion of the
program, you will be employed in an engineering role by your home country where you can apply
the learning gained during your rotation program.
