Peter A. DeGolia, MD

Dr. Peter DeGolia is the Jack H. Medalie Endowed Professor in Home-Centered Health
Care within the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Case Western
Reserve University School of Medicine. He is the Director of University Hospitals
Center for Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care. In addition, he is the Medical Director
of the McGregor PACE program and the A.M. McGregor Homes. He is Board Certified
in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice/Palliative Medicine. His interests
include physician home visiting and home-based care, management of frail older adults,
and palliative care.
Dr. DeGolia is prominently known for extensive knowledge and use of the model
programs of care for older adults that offer evidence-based best practices to successfully
care for people as they age and transit through different sites of care.
Dr. DeGolia is a graduate of the University of Chicago and Rush University Medical
College in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his Family Medicine residency training and a
fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Case Western Reserve University Metro Family
Medicine program. .
