We strive to provide exceptional service to our students and global partners. The list below outlines the code of conduct that all students are expected to follow. If needed, students should request clarification from their instructor if they have any questions. Failure to comply with the Policies outlined in this Student Handbook may result in probation, temporary removal, or permanent dismissal from ILAC International College. “Student(s)” is defined as including prospective students as well as those currently registered or enrolled in any of ILAC International College’s programs or activities. The Code of Conduct Students are expected to: Comply with the policies outlined in this Handbook. Speak English at ILAC International College. Attend school in accordance with the Attendance Policy; be on time! Treat all students and staff with respect. Treat school property with respect. Comply with the legal smoking requirements outside of ILAC International College facilities (ILAC International College is a smoke- free environment) Complete all assignments and examinations on the scheduled completion dates. Not distribute materials within the campus and to ILAC International College students that have not been approved by the school (such as brochures, 3rd party advertisements, promotional materials, etc.) Not engage in any other conduct which is determined to be detrimental or damaging to the other students, staff members or the Institution The institution forbids disruptive (i.e. using cell phones in class) or offensive classroom behavior; bringing weapons of any kind (i.e. knives, guns) to school; bringing any alcohol or any prohibited mood altering substances/drugs to the institution; making inappropriate remarks concerning another student or staff’s ethnicity, race, religion or sexual orientation and any other conduct which is determined to be detrimental or damaging to other students, staff members or the Institution. 6 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook 2.2 Student Support Services The ILAC International College Management and Administrative Team ILAC International College is pleased to offer our students many team members to provide support during their studies. Please feel free to contact any ILAC International College staff member as you see fit but here are a few key contacts for students: Student Ambassador The Student Ambassador will be responsible for providing ongoing support for students, helping them with all inquiries and by ensuring a high quality customer experience. Student Ambassadors can assist students in various languages. The Student Ambassador’s role is to do what it takes to support you! The Student Ambassador can help you with: Providing Health insurance information and information on the closest medical office when needed Social support services outside of ILAC International College including connections to community groups Information on embassy or consulates Orientation to ILAC International College policies and procedures Program Coordinator The Program Coordinator is the first point of contact for students when they have questions regarding class schedules or need support with academic information. This role is designed to provide immediate response to student needs as requested or forward the information to the Program Director when escalated. The Program Coordinator can help you with: Program/course changes Practicum Placements Setting up appointments with the Program Director Providing transcripts of academic record or attendance records Program Director The Program Director is responsible for managing and supporting students in order for ILAC International College to meet its mission of ensuring student learning and success. The Program Director is responsible for building strong relationships with the student body through on-going support and leadership to ensure student requests are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner. 7 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook Homestay Coordinator ILAC International College offers this optional service to students who want to live with a Canadian family while they are studying at our school. Your homestay provides you with a first-hand experience of Canadian home life and it is a good place for you to practice your English. Despite the cultural differences you may come across in your temporary home in Canada, try to be open-minded about these differences. Both your host family and you can learn from each other. Practicum The Program Coordinator provides on-going support, guidance and supervision for programs that require a practicum. Students work closely with the Program Coordinator to establish host sites, deal with challenges associated with sites, and identify appropriate actions. Academic Policies 2.3 Admissions Policy Policy: ILAC International College is committed to enrolling students who meet program admission criteria and who are likely to succeed in achieving their education goals. Procedure: 1. The institution’s student ambassadors receive initial enquiries. 2. If requested, the program coordinator or student ambassador meets with the prospective student to discuss the program of interest to outline general program information. This meeting can be conducted in person, via telephone, or by Skype. 3. Once the student has decided on a program of study, the program coordinator or student ambassador reviews the admission criteria for the program with the student to ensure that he/she meets all of the admissions requirements. 4. The student ambassador collects the necessary documents from the student (e.g. transcript, proof of age etc.) and places in the student file. The admission criteria cannot be waived by either the school or the applicant. 5. After receiving the documents and evidence that the prospective student meets the admission requirements, the student ambassador arranges an interview with the student and the program coordinator. 6. Upon successful completion of the interview, the program coordinator prepares and issues an Official Letter of Acceptance. After the prospective student has read and understood the ILAC International College policies, they may then sign the enrolment contract. The program coordinator may arrange to have the student speak with the student ambassador if further clarification is needed in the student’s native language. 8 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook Language Proficiency Requirements ILAC International College offers various programs that require minimum proficiency in English before starting the program. Please check with the program specific admission criteria to ensure you meet the language proficiency requirements at www.ilacinternationalcollege.com. 9 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook 2.4 Examinations, Assignments and Course Assessments Policy It is expected that students will complete all examinations, assessments, and assignments as described in the Service Excellence for Business Program Syllabus. Passing marks will be as follows: Final Examinations: Students are required to achieve a minimum mark of 60% in all final examinations. Assessments: A total coursework score of 70% is required to pass each course. Certification is achieved at a: Pass (70-79%) High pass (80-89%) Distinction level (90-100%) Only one rewrite is permitted per assignment. More detailed descriptions of each assignment will be distributed and explained during the course. Extensions for Coursework Assignments Under special circumstances, a student may request an extension on an assignment. This request must be made in writing via email a minimum of 3 days before the assignment is due. Students will receive full marks if arrangements are made prior to the assignment due date. The instructors may use their discretion to determine if extensions will be granted. Missed Examinations Students are expected to be on time for all examinations. In the event a student is unable to write an examination on the designated examination date students may seek permission from their instructor and/or the Program Coordinator to write the examination on an alternate date. The student must make this request a minimum of 3 days prior to the examination date. Students will receive full marks if arrangements are made prior to the designated examination date. If a student misses an examination (i.e. does not arrive to write the exam) and does not make arrangements 10 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook with the instructor, the student will be expected to contact the Program Coordinator to establish a new examination date. Student may be asked to provide documentation to support the absence (i.e. doctor’s notes for illness). Unexcused absences may result in a score of 0. Additional rewrite requests may be considered on a case-to-case basis. Students are expected to contact the Program Coordinator for assistance if requesting additional rewrites. 2.5 Attendance Policy ILAC International College keeps a record of your class attendance on a daily basis. Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of the overall program, with a minimum of 70% attendance in each course. It is your responsibility to speak with your instructor to catch up on any readings, assignments, class work etc. when you miss a full or partial class. Failure to meet the attendance requirements will result in students repeating the course in question, or potentially having work and study permits removed. 2.6 Graduation Policy We provide a Diploma or Certificate and transcript of academic record to students who have successfully completed all the program requirements, including completion of all courses and assignments within the program, as well as the practicum component. Student Misconduct 2.7 Academic Dishonesty – Plagiarism and Cheating Cheating – Cheating is any form of academic dishonesty (including, but not limited to, talking to another student during an exam, text messaging during an exam, reviewing notes during an exam, plagiarism, etc.) Plagiarism— Plagiarism occurs in two forms: (a) when you use another person’s exact words or ideas as if they were your own, and (b) when you paraphrase another’s ideas without identifying the source, thus implying that the ideas are your own. Cite all sources of both direct quotations and borrowed ideas and research. 1. Any student who is found to be cheating may immediately be dismissed from their program of study or receive a grade of zero for the exam/assignment. 11 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook 2. Any instances of plagiarism will result in a grade of zero on the assignment (first instance); the student may be placed on Academic Probation and have a record put in their student file. A second instance will result in an automatic failing grade for the course and the student may be dismissed immediately from their program of study. If a student is confused about what constitutes cheating or plagiarism, he/she must contact their instructor, the Program Director or Program Coordinator and support will be provided. Claiming lack of knowledge will not be taken into consideration as grounds for leniency. If a student is suspected of academic misconduct, the instructor will document the incident and inform the Program Coordinator. The student may be put directly onto academic probation. If a future incidence of academic misconduct occurs, the student may be dismissed from the program. 2.8 Dismissal Policy Any of the following, if substantiated, will result in immediate dismissal without a warning letter or probationary period: Sexual assault; Physical assault or other violent acts committed on or off campus against any student; Verbal abuse or threats; Vandalism of school property; Theft. Students who do not meet the expected code of conduct will be subject to the procedures outlined below which may include immediate dismissal from the institution depending on the severity of the misconduct. Concerns related to a student’s conduct shall be referred to the Program Director to process in accordance with this Policy. Procedure: 1. All concerns relating to student misconduct shall be directed to the Program Director or Program Coordinator. Concerns may be brought by staff, students or the public. 2. The Program Director or Program Coordinator will arrange to meet with the student to discuss the concern(s) within 5 school days of receiving the complaint. If the alleged conduct is of such a serious nature that an immediate dismissal may be warranted the Program Director or Program Coordinator will meet with the student as soon as possible. 3. Following the meeting with the student, the Program Director or Program Coordinator will conduct whatever further enquiry or investigation is necessary to determine whether the concerns are substantiated. 4. Any necessary inquiries or investigations shall be completed within 5 school days of the initial meeting with the student. 12 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook 5. The Program Director will meet with the student and do one of the following: a. Determine that the concern(s) were not substantiated; b. Determine that the concern(s) were substantiated, in whole or in part, and either: i. Give the student a warning setting out the consequences of further misconduct; ii. Set a probationary period with appropriate conditions; or iii. Recommend that the student be dismissed from the ILAC International College. 6. The Program Director or Program Coordinator may prepare a written summary of the determination. A copy shall be given to the student, a copy will be placed in the ILAC International College complaint file, and the original will be placed in the student file. 7. If the student is issued a warning or placed on probation, both the Program Director or Program Coordinator and the student sign the written warning or probationary conditions and the student is given a copy. The original document is placed in the student’s file. 8. If the recommendation is to dismiss the student, the Program Director or Program Coordinator will meet with the student to dismiss him/her from study at the school. The Program Director will deliver to the student a letter of dismissal and a calculation of refund due or tuition owing, depending on the status of the student’s financial account with the school. 9. If a refund is due to the student, ILAC International College will ensure that a cheque is forwarded to the student within 30 days of the dismissal. 10. If the student owes tuition or other fees to the school, ILAC International College may undertake the collection of the amount owing. 2.9 Dispute Resolution Policy (complaint procedure) ILAC International College provides an opportunity for students to resolve disputes of a serious nature in a fair and equitable manner. The policy applies to all ILAC International College students who are currently enrolled or were enrolled 30 days prior to submitting their concern to the Program Director. Procedure: 1. When a concern arises, the student should address the concern with the individual most directly involved. If the student is not satisfied with the outcome at this level, the student should put his/her concern in writing and deliver it to the Program Director or Program Coordinator (if the conflict exists between two students, students are encouraged to work with one another. In the event the concern continues, students should contact their instructor before engaging the in step 2). a. The Program Director or Program Coordinator will arrange to meet with the student to discuss the concern and desired resolution as soon as possible but within five school days of receiving the student’s written concern. Following the meeting with the student, the Program Director or Program Coordinator will conduct whatever enquiries and/or investigations are necessary and appropriate to determine whether the student’s concerns are substantiated in whole or in part. Those inquiries may involve further discussion(s) with the student either individually or with appropriate ILAC International College personnel. The necessary enquiries and / or investigations shall be completed and a response provided in writing to all involved as soon as possible but no later than seven school days following the receipt of the student’s written concerns. One of the following may happen: a. If it is determined that the student’s concerns are not substantiated the institution will provide a written explanation of the decision and deny the complaint; or b. If it is determined that the student’s concerns are substantiated in whole or in part, the institution will propose a resolution. c. The response should specify the student will have five school days to appeal the decision. A copy of the decision and all supporting materials shall be given to the student, a copy will be placed in ILAC International College’s complaint file, and the original will be placed in the student’s file. If the student is not satisfied with the determination of the Program Director or Program Coordinator the student must advise him/her as soon as possible but within five school days of being informed of the determination. The Program Director will immediately refer the matter to the Senior Educational Administrator and/or the Executive Director of ILAC International College. The Senior Educational Administrator and/or the Executive Director will review the matter and may meet with the student as soon as possible but within five school days of receipt of the student’s appeal. The original decision will either be confirmed or varied by the Senior Educational Administrator and/or Executive Director in writing within 5 school days after meeting the student. At this point ILAC International College’s Dispute Resolution Process will be considered exhausted. If a student is not satisfied with ILAC International College's resolution of his/her complaint, the student may refer the matter to PCTIA and shall include in his/her application to PCTIA a copy of the record of the complaint and subsequent correspondence from ILAC International College. 2.10 Grade Appeal Policy ILAC International College provides an opportunity for students to resolve disputes regarding grades in a fair and equitable manner. The policy applies to all ILAC International College students who are currently enrolled or were enrolled 30 days prior to submitting their concern to the Program Director. 14 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook Procedure: 1. If a student is dissatisfied with a grade received and feels that a higher grade is warranted he/she should discuss with his/her instructor. The instructor will reconsider the grade and, if reasonable, assign a different grade within 3 days of receiving the student’s request. 2. If the student is not satisfied with the outcome of his/her appeal to the instructor, he/she should submit a written appeal or provide an oral submission of their complaint directly to the Program Director. 3. The Program Director will: a. Assignment Appeal: obtain a copy of the assignment/test in question from the instructor/student and review the assignment/test or may have another qualified team member conduct a review within 3 days of the student’s submission. b. Course Pass Appeal: conduct a thorough review of the course requirements including, but not limited to, attendance, coursework, examinations and proficiency in expected course outcomes or may have another qualified team member conduct a review within 3 days of the student’s submission. 4. If the review established a higher grade as a result of the review, the higher grade will be assigned to the student. If the assessment achieves a lower grade on re-mark, the original grade will be retained. 5. Once the re-assessment is complete, the Program Director will review the process and, once his/her review is complete, the grade will be considered final. a. The decisions on the grade appeal will be provided to students within 3 school days of ILAC International College’s receipt of the formal complaint. If the student disputes the decision made by the Program Director, she/he can submit a formal written or verbal appeal to the designated Senior Educational Administrator. 2.11 Program Withdrawal, Transfers and Refunds IF YOU ARE DENIED A VISA You are entitled to receive a FULL REFUND (less program registration fee and all bank transfer charges) if you are unable to obtain lawful entry to Canada for the purpose of studying at ILAC International College. You must provide the letter from the Canadian Embassy stating that your Visa to enter Canada was denied. Students who have applied through an agent must contact the agent for a refund. WITHDRAWAL 15 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook Homestay Once you have started studying, the first 4 weeks of your homestay are non-refundable. ILAC International College requires at minimum, a 2-week written notice for any changes, cancellations, or postponements. Otherwise a 2-week accommodation fee will be applicable and the homestay placement fee is not refundable. Program To withdraw from a program of study at ILAC International College, you must first provide ILAC International College with a written letter, dated and signed, and outlining the reason for withdrawing. Your tuition fee refund will be calculated as per the Refund Policy stated below. ILAC International College may be required to submit attendance and/or advancement data for all international students to the federal government. Poor attendance, lack of progression and unlawful stays in the country may result in visa removals and a student may be asked to return to their home country. REFUND POLICIES ILAC INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (VANCOUVER, BC) STUDENTS – REFUND POLICIES ILAC International College falls under the PCTIA Basic Education Standards. The refund to which a student is entitled is calculated on the total tuition fees due under the contract. Where total tuition fees have not yet been collected, the institution is not responsible for refunding more than has been collected to date and a student may be required to make up for monies due under the contract. If the institution has received fees in excess of the amount it is entitled to under the student contract, the excess amount must be refunded. The following refund policy applies to all BC ILAC International College students. Refund policy for Vancouver students: 1. A student may be entitled to a refund of tuition fees in the event that: a. The student provides written notice to the institution that he or she is withdrawing from the program; or b. The institution provides written notice to the student advising that the student has been dismissed from the program. 2. The written notice of withdrawal or dismissal may be delivered in any manner provided that a receipt or other verification is available that indicates the date on which the notice is delivered 3. The notice of withdrawal or dismissal is deemed to be effective from the date it is delivered. 4. The refund to which a student is entitled is calculated on the total tuition fees due under the contract. Where total tuition fees have not yet been collected, the institution is not responsible for refunding more 16 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook than has been collected to date and a student may be required to make up for monies due under the contract. 5. If the institution has received fees in excess of the amount it is entitled to under the student contract, the excess amount must be refunded. 6. Refund policy for students: a. Refunds before the program of study begins: i. If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution within 7 days after the contract is made, and before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract, the institution may retain 5% of the total tuition and fees due under the contract to a maximum of $250. ii. If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution 30 days or more before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract and more than 7 days after the contract was made, the institution may retain 10% of total tuition only due under the contract to a maximum of $1000. iii. Subject to Section 6(a)(1) above, if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than 30 days before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract, and more than 7 days after the contract was made, the institution may retain 20% of the total tuition only, due under the contract to a maximum of $1300. b. Refunds after the program of study starts: i. If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution or a student is dismissed before 10% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, the institution may retain 30% of the tuition due under the contract. ii. If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed after 10% and before 30% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, the institution may retain 50% of the tuition due under the contract. iii. If a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, no refund is required. 7. Where a student did not meet the institutional and/or program specific minimum requirements for admission through no misrepresentation or fault of their own, the institution must refund all tuition and fees paid under the contract, less the applicable non-refundable student application or registration fee. 8. Where a student withdraws or is dismissed from their program, they are entitled to 100% refund of any as-yet to be received consumables that have been pre-paid. 9. Where a student withdraws or is dismissed from their program after receiving technical equipment from the institution free of charge: a. The student must return the equipment unopened or as issued within 14 calendar days; and b. If the student fails to return the equipment as set out above, the institution may deduct the 17 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook reasonable cost of the equipment from any amount to be refunded to the student. 10. Refunds owed to students must be paid within 30 days of the institution receiving written notification of withdrawal and all required supporting documentation, or within 30 days of an institution’s written notice of dismissal. Refund for international students A notice to a private career college that is provided by or on behalf of an international student or of a prospective international student, and that states that the student has not been issued a temporary resident visa, as a member of the student class under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) is deemed to be: a. Notice of a rescission of the contract for the purposes of section 36 of the Act if the notice is given within two days of receiving a copy of the contract; and b. Notice that the student is withdrawing from the program for the purposes of paragraph 1 of subsection 26 (1) or clause 29 (2) (a) if the notice is received on or before half of the duration of the program has elapsed. Currency Any refund of fees that a private career college is required to pay under the Act shall be paid in Canadian dollars. School Policies 2.12 Student Records, Photo Release, and Consent to Use of Personal Information Policy ILAC International College collects, uses, retains and discloses information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (“PIPA”). ILAC International College may share and disclose personal information within the institution to carry out its mandate and operations. Information, in aggregate form only, may also be used for research purposes and statistics. ILAC International College is required to submit directly to designated Provincial or Federal agencies to confirm student attendance and/or advancement in the program. Poor attendance and lack of progression may result in visa removals and a student may be asked to return to their home country. A student’s record may include, as applicable, a student enrolment contract; evidence a student met all admission requirements and entrance examinations; financial records, attendance records; documentation of any dispute, grade appeals or dismissal; copies of study permits and practicum/work placement information. 18 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook ILAC International College retains student records for a period of seven (7) years following the student’s withdrawal, dismissal or graduation. After seven years, the student record is destroyed using a secure destruction method. ILAC International College student transcripts are maintained with a third party vendor for a period of 55 years. 2.13 Agreement and Medical Authorization ILAC International College students must understand that medical insurance is mandatory while attending ILAC International College. ILAC International College offers each student the option to purchase medical insurance during the registration/application process. If a student declines to purchase ILAC International College’s medical insurance he/she is required to purchase his/her own insurance from a different provider. The student must provide evidence of medical insurance. Student disclaimer: I do waive and release all claims against ILAC International College for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay and expenses from my participation in the program. I release and agree to indemnify ILAC International College with regard to any financial obligations or liabilities that I may personally incur or any damage or injury to the person or property of others that I may cause while participating in the program. I also understand that ILAC International College is not responsible for any injury or loss suffered or caused by me while away from the school for any reason. If I become ill, injured or incapacitated, ILAC International College shall immediately contact my parent/guardian in order that he/she may participate in any decision respecting a course of action or treatment for me. If the course of action includes transporting me back to my country, I shall do so at my own expense. I understand that my participation at ILAC International College and in the accommodation program may be terminated at the sole discretion of ILAC International College without a refund of fees and that I may be sent home at my expense if I do not adhere to these rules, standards and instructions. I agree that Canadian law shall apply to this agreement and I agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Canadian law. 2.14 Harassment & Discrimination Policy ILAC International College believes that all members of the ILAC International College community are entitled to work and learn in an environment free from harassment and discrimination. To promote anti- 19 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook harassment and anti-discrimination environment, ILAC International College: Is committed to providing a learning environment where the individual differences of all students and employees are valued and respected; Will not condone and will not tolerate any discrimination or harassing behavior which undermines the dignity, self-esteem and productivity of any student or employee; Considers harassment and/or discrimination by any employee or student to be a serious breach of human rights which requires immediate resolution. Such resolution may include disciplinary measures up to and including dismissal or expulsion. All members of the ILAC International College community are expected to promote learning and working environment of mutual trust and respect. Nothing in this policy or procedures derogates from the responsibility or the role of directors of ILAC International College to ensure a work and educational environment that is free from harassment and discrimination. The objectives of these procedures are: a. To stop harassment or discrimination as soon as it occurs; b. To provide a fair and equitable process for the resolution of complaints of harassment and discrimination. 2.16 Emergency Policy Procedure for Fire Safety: 1. The Facilities Manager ensures that adequate fire suppression equipment is available as needed throughout the campuses and that a qualified inspector inspects all fire suppression equipment annually. 2. The Facilities Manager ensures that all employees receive training to operate fire suppression equipment and for school fire evacuation procedures. 3. The Facilities Manager is responsible for preparing and posting emergency exit instructions and route maps in each classroom at the campus, with the exit from that room specifically noted in a coloured highlight. 4. In the event of a fire emergency, the Facilities Manager will dial 911 and advise the fire department of the location of the school. They will provide details of the type of fire (if known) and the location of the fire within the campus. 5. The Facilities Manager will advise all occupants to evacuate the campus. Staff, and each class teacher along with their students, proceeds to the identified Assembly Point ensuring that the class list is with them. The Fire Warden will conduct a building sweep to ensure that no one remains in the building. 20 © ILAC International College, Vancouver | V. 1.1 December, 2015 SEB Student Handbook 6. The Facilities Manager will act as a liaison between fire officials and students/employees during the emergency. If necessary, the General Manager will authorize school closure. 7. No student or employee will re-enter the building until the fire officials have authorized re-entry. Procedure for Earthquake Safety: 1. The Facilities Manager ensures that adequate precautions are taken throughout the campus to ensure that injury due to falling or unstable items during an earthquake is limited. This may include securing file cabinets to walls and providing lipped shelving for books or binders that are located at or above head-level. 2. The Facilities Manager ensures that all employees receive training in the school earthquake evacuation procedures. 3. The Facilities Manager is responsible for preparing and posting emergency instructions and exit route maps in each classroom at the campus, with the exit from that room specifically noted in a coloured highlight. 4. In the event of an earthquake, all staff and students will take cover and remain under cover until the shaking stops. 5. If it is unsafe to remain in the building, the Facilities Manager will advise all occupants to evacuate the building 6. The Facilities Manager will act as a liaison between rescue officials and students/employees during the emergency. If necessary, the General Manager will authorize school closure. 7.
