Oxygen administration, reinsertion of Intravenous Lines.

Prepares patients for surgical procedures by starting intravenous lines, administering medications, taking
a complete health history and performing pre-surgical preparations.
Selecting and handling instruments and supplies used for the operation.
Managing the overall nursing care in the operating room and helping to maintain a safe, comfortable
environment.
Keeping track of the instruments, dressings and other equipment used during surgery.
Delivering direct surgical care by assisting the surgeon in controlling bleeding, providing wound exposure
and suturing during the actual procedure.
Initiates an accurate assessment of each patient, identifying their unique problems and concerns.
Legibly documents and compile a patient history regarding and prescription medications medical
complaints, surgeries.
Collects information on current injuries, noting any allergies the patient may have, their tetanus status,
height, weight and other vital signs such as current temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate and any
history of activity or illness prior to their chief complaint; and prior to their physical examination.
Documents the diagnosis and ongoing treatment plan of the patient.
Assists in administering procedures as well as providing initial Intravenous line, cleaning and bandaging
wounds and administering medications and oxygen
