Boston College Biology Department College of Arts & Sciences Course Approval Form for BIOLOGY MAJORS Studying Abroad Directions: 1. Complete two copies of this form. 2. Attach course descriptions and supporting information, including prerequisites. 3. Bring forms to Biology office for signature and stamped approval. 4. Keep one copy and the Biology office will also keep one copy. 5. After course is completed abroad, come to Biology Office to have course substituted. Rules (for Biology major and minor): 1. Only 3 credits can be applied to the 30 credits required for the Biology major or the 18 credits for the Biology minor. 2. To count for major or minor credit, the course must: a. Be biological in context b. Be at least second-‐year level and equivalent to BIOL3000 level or above courses c. Have pre-‐requisites d. Not be for professional study (ie. nursing) e.
