Press Release 8 July 2015 HANNOVER MESSE 2016 (25–29 April, Mon.–Fri.): New layout for energy-related displays Hannover. The energy-related displays at HANNOVER MESSE account for a total of around 1,300 exhibitors, making them one of the absolute mainstays of the world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology. In 2016, all of these displays will be clustered in the Energy show, which is being repositioned as the flagship fair for integrated energy systems and mobility. The revamped exhibition will thus be a one-stop showcase for all energy transmission, distribution and storage technologies and alternative mobility solutions. “New technology solutions and partnerships in the manufacturing and energy industries are needed if the EU is to succeed in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions to at least 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030. We will shepherd these solutions and partnerships at Energy, the show that puts the spotlight on integrated energy systems and the entire energy value chain, from generation right through to electric vehicle technology,” said Marc Siemering, the Senior Vice President responsible for HANNOVER MESSE at Deutsche Messe. The new configuration means that HANNOVER MESSE’s various displays of alternative mobility and energy storage solutions will be clustered at one location. This will bring together around 300 exhibitors, thereby raising the profile of these solutions within the overall context of HANNOVER MESSE. The new MobiliTec display area will center around alternative mobility technologies, infrastructure issues and challenges, energy storage solutions and intermodal logistics. Other display topics covered in Hall 27 include decentralized energy supply technologies, energy services and energy and resource efficiency. Halls 12 and 13 are dedicated to energy distribution and transmission technologies. The main focus of Hall 13 is on grid technology, as Siemering explains: “The importance of networking and grid technology will continue to rise over the coming years as industry moves towards production facilities that are fully integrated and encompass energy systems. Energy put a bright spotlight on this important trend from here on out.” Hall 12 is the interface between HANNOVER MESSE’s energy and automation displays. The main themes there are monitoring and control systems, particularly technologies for energy and load management and building automation. The technologies needed to make this happen will be concentrated in Hall 12. HANNOVER MESSE – Get new technology first! The world’s leading trade fair for industrial technology will next be staged from 25 to 29 April 2016 in Hannover, Germany. The upcoming HANNOVER MESSE will feature five parallel shows: Industrial Automation, Energy, Digital Factory, Industrial Supply and Research & Technology. At HANNOVER MESSE 2016, major emphasis will be placed on the following four topics: Industrial Automation & IT • Energy & Environmental Engineering • Industrial Subcontracting, Production Engineering and Services • Research & Development. The United States of America is being honored as the Partner Country of HANNOVER MESSE 2016.
