Job description:
The key functions of this position are to teach on a range of School programmes, develop
academic programmes and programme-related materials, and carry out research.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
PhD in Computing, Computer Science, Data Science,
Cybersecurity or related areas, with BSc/MSc in Computing,
Computer Science, Informatics, or related field.
In exceptional circumstances, the College reserves the right to
appoint a candidate with an MSc qualification who is in the final
stage of PhD submission.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer
science.
Experience needed:
 The candidate should be able to teach the technical/practical
areas of Data Science, Cybersecurity, Computing, and Cloud
Computing.
 Teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level
will be highly advantageous.
 Established track record of research achievement as
evidenced by scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals
with impact factor and reputable international conferences is
desirable.
 Evidence of research funding (Academic II).
 Industry experience is desirable (Academic II).
Languages skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

or Academic II Min Salary Band €52,000
Annual salary:
Maximum: The appointment will be to
Academic I Salary Band Max €54,000
or Academic II Max Salary €78,000.
