RURAL HEALTH WEST CPD WORKSHOPS Heart Health workshop for Aboriginal Health Professionals FRIDAY 27 NOVEMBER 2015 | BROOME THIS IS A FREE WORKSHOP Rural Health West is pleased to invite Aboriginal health professionals to the Heart Health workshop. This free workshop, led by experienced visiting specialist practitioners, will provide Aboriginal health professionals the opportunity to share information and knowledge to improve the care and service delivery for cardiac patients in rural areas. The workshop will provide learning opportunities and problem solving, including heart anatomy and a focus on system issues relevant to remote rural areas. Case study material based on local needs of cardiac patients will be used as a learning tool throughout the afternoon. Discussions will be based around regional issues and successes as well as appropriate and available resources. To register, please complete and return the registration form overleaf. All successful applicants will receive written confirmation. Please note: priority will be given to currently practising Aboriginal health professionals within the region.
