Assess patient's condition in an acute care setting in a systematic
fashion, focusing on the major body systems.
Develop an individualized, holistic plan of care based on the physical,
psycho-social, cultural, and educational needs of the patient.
Plan and implement nursing care such as: monitoring vital signs, safe
administration of medications including multiple types of intravenous
therapies, wound care treatments, surgical incision care, surgical drain
care and output monitoring, as well as assisting with personal care
needs of the patient.
Evaluate the patient's response to nursing interventions, treatments,
and medications continuously.
Notify the appropriate physician promptly when there is a decline in the

information such as routine immunizations and smoking cessation.

safety and quality.
