Job Description
Are you a science or engineering graduate with a proven flair for communication?
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established marketing communications company
specialising in the science, engineering, technology and healthcare markets.
You will be planning, researching and writing commercial copy for clients operating across these
industries and targeting global customers. You’ll be a capable and versatile communicator who can
write to a brief and to deadline, discover topical news angles, develop original and compelling
editorial copy and produce high quality, accurate materials such as white papers and peer-reviewed
articles.
As an integral part of Kapler Communications’ client account teams, you’ll have the confidence to
liaise with clients and editors of trade publications.
For the right candidate, this position offers the potential for future development into a client
management role.
Responsibilities




Produce accurate science and technology-based commercial content for both traditional
media and digital channels, and for the production of marketing collateral
Conduct research as needed for assigned writing and other projects
As part of the Kapler account teams, be a point of scientific/technical knowledge about the
clients’ technology, products, applications and markets
Keep abreast of general scientific issues that are in the public domain
Skills





A science or engineering graduate with either a postgraduate writing qualification and/or
practical experience of generating copy in a commercial environment
A highly capable communicator with an excellent command of English and proven writing
skills
Able to work independently and in a team environment
Good time management with the ability to deliver to deadline
Commercial aptitude - practical experience of work in a scientific or engineering field, in a
customer-facing role, or in a sales and marketing environment is desirable
