China Construction Bank (Asia) Appointed Jiang Xianzhou as
Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
HONG KONG – M ay 2 6 , 2 0 1 6 – China Construction Bank (Asia) [“CCB (Asia)”] announced today that
Chief Executive Officer Mao Yumin retired on May 25, 2016. The former Executive Director and Alternate
Chief Executive Jiang Xianzhou is appointed as CCB (Asia)’s Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
[“CEO”], effective from May 25, 2016.
Mr. Jiang has assumed numerous senior positions since joining China Construction Bank in 1986. He
was promoted to Deputy General Manager of the Administration Office in 1995, and to Deputy General
Manager of the International Business Department in 1997. In 2004, he took over as General Manager of
the Institutional Business and Fund Custody Department. Before joining CCB (Asia) as the Executive
Director and Alternate Chief Executive in 2014, Mr. Jiang had been the Chairman of China Construction
Bank Principal Asset Management Co. Ltd since 2005.
CCB (Asia)’s Chairman Wang Hongzhang said, “Mr. Jiang possesses all-rounded banking experience
particularly in commercial banking and asset management. Mr. Jiang has been instrumental to the
growth of the Bank, demonstrating excellent abilities, passion and commitment as well as strong
leadership in driving for the Bank’s leading position in the banking industry.”
With regard to the retirement of Mao Yumin, Chairman Wang Hongzhang said, “On behalf of Members
of the Board, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Mao for his dedication and
outstanding leadership in the role of CEO for the CCB entities in HK especially in driving and leading the
reforms and development of businesses with outstanding results. May I wish him healthiness and
happiness in the years ahead.”
