Design of RS485 Based Control System for Industrial device Control A control system is a device or set of devices to manage, command, direct or regulate the behavior of other devices or systems. This project focuses on the benefits of using RS-485 signaling for industrial device control applications using RS-485 COMMUNICATION. This technology has several benefits for these applications in term of noise immunity, wide common-mode voltage range, adequate data rate, and multipoint capability. Other applications also use RS-485 signaling to take advantage of these same benefits. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) can corrupt the signal in a motor control system. In an analog system, noise signals might cause unwanted motion or instability. Due to the inherent in signal-to-noise ratio of binary coding, the main concern with digital system is spurious pulses, which may be interpreted as commands or feedback signals. The RS-485 signaling is balanced and differential, and is typically transmitted over twisted wire pairs. RS-485 interfaces are multi-drop networks up to 4000ft long that can support up to 256 network nodes depending on which 485 transceiver chips are installed on the controller boards.
