- In this portion, you must
explain the geography of China
to someone who would come
and visit.
- Give the names of the different
geographical features (rivers,
mountains, deserts, plains,
oceans, etc).
- Discuss the different climates
of each area, so a person would
know how to pack for travel.
- Also describe how difficult it
was to get to China (why it was
geographically isolated), as
well as how difficult it was to
get around the country once
there.
- In this portion you must choose a
philosophy out of three we
studied:
- Confucianism
- Daoism/Taoism
- Legalism
- Write as though you are from
ancient China, and must convince
others that this is the best
philosophy.
- Describe the beliefs of the
philosophy.
- Pretend you are a journalist in
ancient China.
- You have arrived at Shi
Huangdi’s palace to interview
him.
- Briefly describe what he is
like.
- Share his answers to the
following questions:
1. What dynasty did you
rule in?
2. How did you unify China?
- Give three reasons your choice is
better than the other two.
- Then give at least one reason why
