The University of Texas at Austin Department of Molecular Biosciences The Department of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Texas at Austin (molecularbiosci.utexas.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The Department has a large and diverse faculty, and a wide range of research fields will be considered, including cell and developmental biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, and cancer biology. We seek an outstanding investigator who will build an internationally recognized research program and will teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the multidisciplinary Institute for Cellular and Molecular Biology, have access to excellent core facilities (including next-gen DNA sequencing, mass spectrometry, flow cytometry, confocal and super-resolution microscopy, and mouse genetic engineering), and will have the opportunity to participate in the Cellular and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology graduate programs. The position offers substantial start-up funds, salary, and laboratory space in a dynamic and highly interactive research environment that includes the new UT Austin Dell Medical School.
