mariPOC® family expands
mariPOC® Gastro is a multianalyte test for
diagnostics of acute gastroenteritis. The Gastro
test can be run on the same mariPOC® analyser as
mariPOC® Respi and Pharyn tests.

The analysis is automated and results are reported
in two phases; high positives in 20 minutes and low
positives and negatives in 2 hours.
Why to test?
Acute gastroenteritis may be caused both by
bacteria and viruses with highly overlapping
symptoms. Gastroenteritis can easily spread in
hospital environment if not controlled. Multianalyte testing ensures correct diagnosis, effective
infection control and enables prompt treatment
of the patients.
How to test?
mariPOC® allows gastroenteritis testing with
minimal handling of highly infectious stool
samples. Patient sample can be collected at
home in a container. There is no need for
sterile collection devices. Pretreatment takes only
3 minutes and dispensing and result read-out is
automated.
Gastro test plate (REF 2017M)
contains 44 multianalyte Gastro tests
Multianalyte HiTech antigen test
mariPOC® Gastro enables testing of five
pathogens from the same sample with
minimum hands on time. mariPOC® test system
is random access, easy to use and does not
require calibration. Internal autoverification
ensures reliable results.
mariPOC® finds the acute infection cases which
makes the result interpretation easier. mariPOC®
test system is not prone to contamination. The
robustness and versatility of mariPOC® has
made it an obvious choice in many laboratories.
