Come and see all the animals at Windmill Animal Farm
Windmill Animal farm was first opened to the public in 1992, and offers visitors the chance to
experience the every day running of an actual working farm while still having the chance to
watch, feed, touch and play with the animals.
School parties are welcome to the farm throughout the year and
education guided tours are available with information on the
animals and the chance to see and learn about the rearing of
these animals and their varied lives.
Train Rides to the Lake
The farm is set within many acres of grounds with what used to
be a derelict Windmill from which the farm gets its name.
The animals on the farm have been acquired from different parts of the
country with a mixture of breeds ranging from the Scottish Highland
cattle to the Jacob sheep which originate from the Spanish mainland.
Other breeds of animals can be seen on the farm such as cows, goats,
pigs, rabbits, shire horses and shetland ponies.
