CCC applications to Diocesan Physical Education Curriculum DIGNITY OF THE HUMAN BODY CCC 364 The human body shares in the dignity of the image of God. The whole human person is intended to become, in the body of Christ, a temple of the Spirit. CCC 1004 The believers’ body and soul already participate in the dignity of belonging to Christ. This dignity entails the demand that he should treat with respect his own body, but also the body of every other person, especially the suffering. CCC 1197 Christians also become temples of the Holy Spirit, living stones out of which the Church is built. CCC 2280 We are responsible for life before God and to accept our life gratefully as stewards of the life God has entrusted to us.
