JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Samson Aviation Operative DATE: March 2015 DEPARTMENT: Samson Aviation Services Ltd REPORTS TO: Operations Supervisor PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: To oversee the day to day activities of Samson Aviation Services Ltd, including, operations, security fueling activities and Southside parking activities with the overall objective of maximising EBITDA. ACOUNTABILITIES: To support the day-to-day running / operational performance of Samson Aviation Services Ltd and interrelated south side activities, by adopting a flexible approach to work that meets with the needs of the business To deliver an exceptional standard of service, that is compliant with all regulatory and legislative requirements following Department for Transport (DfT)/Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) guidelines and protocols Monitor and manage security control onto the airfield in accordance with the Southside manual. To assist the Operations Supervisor in maintaining day-to-day customer relationships, by demonstrating a commitment to customer service excellence through identifying and implementing appropriate improvement initiatives. To implement NIAL Big 6 service principles. To assist the Operations Supervisor with the management of the Southside car parking activities. To enthusiastically promote the Samson product portfolio by assisting the Operations Supervisor in identifying and maximising additional opportunities to generate income. To ensure additional services such as passenger processing, re-fuelling and marshalling of aircraft are completed to the highest standards of customer care. To assist in the south side operation, including the collation of aircraft parking and hangarage information as related to Samson Aviation Services Ltd. To support the Operations Supervisor and Finance Department by ensuring that invoicing and payments are correct and collated in a regular manner To cooperate with other operational departments, (e.g. Airside Operations Unit) to promote a combined customer focused service, thereby promoting south side ramp safety. To further develop relationships with business partners and the regulatory authorities in order to provide a seamless service to customers. To consistently adopt and work in accordance with safe systems of work and the safety management system (SMS) thereby meeting legislative requirements. To work in accordance with NIAL’s snow and ice procedures including any amendments that are adopted. Implement improvements to internal systems, procedures and policies. COMMENTS: In addition to the above responsibilities and tasks which the job normally entails, you may, from time to time, be required to undertake additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the company’s business on either a temporary or permanent basis. This post requires access through the Critical Part at the Airport and, in line with Department for Transport regulations you will be required to demonstrate during the recruitment process, that you have no relevant criminal record.
