Warren Ratliff
Vice President and General Counsel
Caradigm
Warren Ratliff has been named vice president and general counsel of Caradigm, the GE
Healthcare and Microsoft Corp. joint venture announced in December 2011. Ratliff will assume
this role, reporting to Caradigm CEO Michael Simpson, when the new company is launched
during the first half of 2012.
Ratliff currently serves as chief counsel and acting business development leader at GE
Healthcare Knowledge & Connectivity Solutions, where he supports the development and
commercialization of GE’s Health Information Exchange and Qualibria product lines, while also
working with some of GE’s more established healthcare software businesses.
Ratliff has focused his career on technology businesses. After law school at Yale University, he
joined and eventually led the Intellectual Property & Technology practice at a firm in Nashville,
Tenn. Later, he helped found a logistics technology venture, for which he served as chief
operating officer. During the past decade, he has held a variety of senior business and legal
positions in healthcare IT, including several leadership roles across a wide array of provider and
payer divisions at McKesson Health Solutions.
Ratliff has a bachelor of arts in political science and history from Duke University and a juris
doctor degree from Yale Law School. He lives in Washington with his wife and their three sons.
