Cancer Research Initiative
Faculty of Health Sciences
The Cancer Research Initiative seeks to appoint a Rresearch Development Coordinator as soon as possible.
This is a part-time (20 hours per week), 12-month contract position.
Requirements:

A Master’s in Public Health or a master’s degree in a subject relevant to health sciences
Advantageous experience includes:



Experience in cancer research
Research project management or co-ordination
Website content management
Responsibilities:




Support the Cancer Research Directorate in the development of an integrated interdisciplinary cancer
research program
Support the Cancer Research Directorate in the development of research grant proposals
Compile information on cancer research activities in the Faculty of Health Sciences
Support the Cancer Research Directorate in the development of proposals to foundations, trusts and
philanthropic donors
The annual cost of employment, for this part-time (20 hours per week) 12-month contract post, is between
R92,331 and R144,570, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
