The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and implementing integrative experiments including phenotyping, metabolomics, and transcriptomics. The applicant will conduct physico-chemical and sensory analysis, and develop fine phenotyping tools for measuring key fruit quality components in melons. Through collaboration with breeders and plant geneticists, the phenotyping data will then be used to assist breeding for quality.
