Choose a database based on the topic and your needs. • Topic: Grassland Restoration • Course: Environmental Science • If I know nothing about the topic I may start in an All-in-One database. • Then once I have some background knowledge on the topic I may also use a subject specific database such as the Environmental Studies and Policy Collection database Search Tips 2. Search by Keyword and use these tips to improve your results. Search Tips Hint: take a look at the features of the search box. There may be buttons to refine your search to full-text articles. This is helpful if you want an entire article and not just an abstract/summation. There are also usually buttons to limit to peerreviewed and documents with images. Search Tips 3.
