Responsibilities included editing general news and business news stories, and writing
headlines one weeknight and Sunday nights on the Central Copy Desk. Was on the copy desk
during the Murrah bombing, April 1995, the Bridgeport/Midwest City/Del City F5 tornado,
May 1999, and the World Trade Center attack, 2001.

mass Communication law and news editing. I fought for implementation of a new course in
computer-assisted journalism, first offered in spring 1996.
