The Challenges Continue
• Pentagon budget problems have not gone away
• Pentagon leaders and resale agency chiefs are proposing changes
that will effect our industry
• Effective actions over the last several years have provided ALA the
right staff, key initiatives, and full understanding of the issues
• ALA Board and Staff continue to work with Political and Industry
Leadership on solutions to the complex issues facing us today
• We can’t become consumed with rumors that may not happen
• We must remain focused on delivering Commissary and Exchange
benefits in the most outstanding manner possible!

ALA Board and Staff Strategic focuses this year:
• Protect our members interests
• Continue partnerships: Congress, DoD and Valued Associates
• Retain and recruit members
• Strengthen our ALA Chapters
o Ensuring Chapters are informed and engaged
o Conducting conference calls with Chapter Presidents
• Remain value added for Commissaries and Exchanges
o Updating meeting formats to make them more relevant
o Regular scheduled meetings with Resale Leadership
