within European Neighbourhood and
Partnership Instrument 2007-2013
FACT SHEET, May 2013
Two new Programmes of the future ENI to be presented
For the first time two new Cross-border cooperation Programmes under future European
Neighbourhood Instrument2014-2020– namely ENI Estonia – Russia CBC and ENI Latvia –
Russia CBC- will be introduced during the Annual Event of the Programme by representatives of the
National Authorities of Estonia, Latvia and Russia.
Open – Air Exhibition “Enjoy the Hansa Route through Latvia, Estonia and Russia!”
About 200 participants are registered for the Annual Event of the Estonia-Latvia-Russia Cross Border
Cooperation Programme that will take place in Sigulda, Latvia on 10 – 11 June 2013. Attractiveness of
the Event for the interested participants is ensured with its thematic focus on Programme's support to
tourism development in Programme’s territory.
On Tuesday, 11 June, at 10:00 – the Open – Air Exhibition „Enjoy the Hansa Route through Latvia,
Estonia and Russia!” invites to improvised Via Hanseatica Tourism Route in one place – Castle of
Livonian Order in Sigulda, Pilsiela 18. On Programme are – your own unique improvised ‘journey’ from
Riga to St.Petersburg with background performance of bagpipes and drums by “Auļi” in the yard of
Castle, with stops at expositions at the brand new skiing track in Sigulda and Gauja National Park, at
guest expositions - ICE-AGE from Tartu county and AHAA from Tartu and Narva-Ivangorod fortresses
from Narva and Ivangorod, Stationmaster and Alexander Pushkin’s Nanny from Gatchina and photo
exhibition “PHOTO YOUTH”.
Outputs of all 8 Tourism Projects supported with an amount of 14.5 million euro by the Programme
will be presented and altogether around 20 Projects supported within the Programme will exhibit their
plans, works and results.
Next 5 Grant Contracts have been signed in May 2013
May 2013was also marked with signing five Grant Contracts with Projects supported within 2nd Call for
Proposals. Supporting these projects Programme promotes the thematic areas as renewable energy
sources in Estonia and Russia, improvement of equal living standards, cooperation in spheres of culture,
sport, education, social and health,preservation of green heritage, improving literal and artistic potential
of Latvia and Russia, and preservation of cultural and historical heritage in Latvia, Estonia and Russia.
Seminarfor 2nd Call Beneficiaries and Partners in Rakvere, Estonia
The JTS of the Programme continues to provide assistance to the new projects with the seminar for 2nd
Call Beneficiaries and Partners that took place in Rakvere, Estonia on 23-24 May, 2013.
More than 50 participants from Estonia, Latvia and Russia representing 10 different projects attended the
event. During the seminar the issues, such as contractual obligations, partnership aspects, financial
management and eligibility of costs, procurements and communication, were presented by the staff of
the Joint Technical Secretariat.
