Spiritual Eyes


I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the
Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you
may know him better.
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be
enlightened in order that you may know the
hope to which he has called you, the riches of
his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his
incomparably great power for us who believe.

remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear

What are you receiving in your
inner person?
• I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen
you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
• so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I
pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
• may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how
wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and
to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you
may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

• Since, then, you have been raised with
Christ, set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of
God. Set your minds on things above,
not on earthly things. For you died, and
your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

• As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and
sins, in which you used to live when you followed the
ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the
air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are
disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time,
gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its
desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature
objects of wrath.
• But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in
mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were
dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been
saved.
• And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him
in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in
the coming ages he might show the incomparable
riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in
Christ Jesus.
