Gets Serious!
A. In March 1947, President Truman created the Truman
Doctrine to give military and economic aid to any country
threatened by Communism.

control of the
Bosporus.
C. The Marshall Plan (1947) was a massive
economic aid package designed to strengthen
war-torn European countries and turn them away
from Communism.

control.
