Throwing rice at the bride and groom at a wedding, guests symbolically
wish them a lifetime full of fertility and of prosperity…
For the Chinese the grain feeds thousands of people for longer periods than
any other grain.
The song sucked,
the lyrics sucked,
the recording
sucked, from each
violin strum to
every vocal melody
the thing…sucked!
Listening to
music all day
isn't easy, and
forming an
opinion about it
all is even harder.
Why do people
with similar
backgrounds and
intellects vary so
widely in their
effectiveness in
dealing with
money?
One needs to
remember that a fool
and his money are
soon parted.
There came a point in time where the trade of slavery would yield more
than gold and herbs combined. It was a business that many traders
strived to be part of.
Everything you see in the western world—its cities, institutions,
and wealth—is built on Black slavery.
Innocence:
a feeling of well
being and trust
that all will be
well.
But beware, the end
of the game comes
when one sets an
innocent looking
quiet move that ends
in a deadly trap.
In many factories people are treated and controlled like battery chickens
and told if they don't like the pay and conditions... there is always the door.
Today the nature of work in China is changing; out with the old dirty
factory jobs and in with cleaner high-tech industries.
War toys definitely
have a war
promoting effect,
the protection of
the children
constitutes a higher
goal than the
interests of the toy
industry.
After all, the symbol
of the dove and olive
was designed for and
adopted by the
Campaign for Nuclear
Disarmament.
Pleasure is the carrot dangled to lead the ass to market; or the precipice.
Cruelty is a part of nature, at least of human nature.
Freedom is difficult to
obtain and even more
difficult to maintain.
Political liberation
neither immediately
nor automatically
leads to democracy.
All too often, one
dictatorship may
fall, followed by
anarchy, and later
by yet another
dictatorship.
The illustrations shown in this show are the work of Pawla
Kuczynskiego. Born in 1976 in Szczecin, she graduated at he Accademy
of Fine Arts in Poznan, specializing in graphics. Since 2004 she produces
satirical illustrations and up to now she has received 92 awards and
distinctions. In 2005 she was awarded a prize from Association of Polish
Cartoonists "Eryk". This newly discovered cartoonist received a record
number of awards in international competitions.
She has captured the absurd, the restlessness and the
injustices in an indisputable way. For her,
awareness/sensitivity is the beginning of change.......
She has produced some brilliant satirical and humorous
works that are provoking, attractive, and amusing….
slavery, greed, consumerism, politics, pollution, athletics,
war, peace, addiction, to mention a few
