Cyber Concepts Awarded Contract to Create Investments Portals For Securities &
Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka
Cyber Concepts (Pvt) Ltd an ISO 9001 : 2008 certified
Software & Web solutions provider was awarded the contract
to develop and host the web sites of the SEC of Sri Lanka,
Financial Services Academy (FSA) and Capital Market
Information center (CMIC).
The SEC intends to promote Sri Lankan capital market to
overseas investors, local companies & retail investors. The
Sri Lankan stock market has been the best performing
market in the world for year 2010.
The Chief Software Architect of Cyber Concepts Ms.
Krishnajina Rajapathirane explaining the concept of the three
portals. mainly information portal of SEC, FSA & CMIC said the objective of the sites are to
disseminate reliable, accurate and timely Capital Market Information to shareholders, potential
shareholders, academia and the public at large.
Project will be mainly separated in to 3 main areas SEC , CIMIC, FSA .SEC will be mainly focus on
investor information and market information . Securities and exchange commission is hoping to
provide information for foreign and local investors and government agencies , listed companies ,
etc…. .Site will be supporting share information , online chat , Quick announcement ,web casting,
News updates , Interactive events such as stock market games . specially it will support trilingual
(sinhala , Tamil , English ) . Site will supporting easy content management system so it will help
SEC to provide timely and accurate information to their focused groups .
CIMIC site helps for most of the people who involve with capital market . You will be having
chance to refer latest capital market date after login to this site . It include capital market reports ,
Research information ,Market news , International capital market information . etc….
FSA mostly educational oriented site . Site will help to develop skills among the persons involved
in the capital market operations. The objective of FSA is to become a premier institute in Sri Lanka
to provide professional level education related to the development of capital market. FSA focuses
to offer four core programmes catered for the needs of different niches in the capital market. These
programmes will be focused on Market Professionals, Listed Companies, Existing and Potential
Investors and Market Institutions. Site will have online educational system to provide proper
training to focused groups . it will support student management system , Tutor management
system , online payment management system .
Cyber Concepts (pvt) will be using latest technologies with secured data management tools for this
project . CMS will be helpful them to easily manage data with care . project will help for users to
quickly communicate with SEC and get respond for their requirements . Chats and forum will help
people to share information and learn more . We are developing effective document management
system for users to download data for their requirements .the system will secure important data
according to levels of permission given .
We are happy to involve this project because it help lot for country development in round .Site will
help foreign investors to know current market situation of sri lanka and invest more in market .It will
help to add more new investors and improve the interest of current investors.
The SEC Web portals are also targeted towards the academia of the National Universities. The
websites will be in line with advanced web technology to create a user- friendly, informative and
secure web portal with an intuitive interface for the SEC, FAS and CMIC websites which should
present information from diverse sources. The site will include the facility that allows the SEC staff
to easily update content after the initial launch. The web content will be available in all three
languages.
Cyber Concepts (pvt) Ltd which has been in operation for the last ten years has been providing
services in Software Development , Web Application Development and IT Consultancy to Sri
Lankan Corporate Sector , Government Agencies and International clients and is a registered
exporter at the Export Development Board as well .
