SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL DATABASE ANALYST Type: Full-Time Location: Kennesaw, GA Position Summary: The Environmental Data Management Team is seeking to fill a position for a Senior Database Analyst. The position will support the Database Systems Manager and provide instruction/training to junior database personnel. The candidate should have experience executing project tasks independently, working within a project team, and have significant experience with using Earthsoft EQuIS. Responsibilities: Populate existing environmental databases with data from the field, laboratory, and various other formats. Perform database updates, entries and queries. Perform routine data requests using various software programs to produce information product deliverables to support the project team. Coordinate with GIS staff to streamline data flow. Coordinate with Chemistry staff for electronic data deliverable flow and data quality evaluation. Instruct and train junior database personnel. Collaborate with project teams and database manager to define specific project needs/requirements. Interact and maintain successful working relationships with clients, peers, and subcontractors. Perform and manage multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule and ensure high quality standards on all project deliverables. Time management and multi-project tasking is essential. Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills: Bachelor's or technical degree in the field of information management, computer science, information technology or commensurate experience required. Minimum of 8-10 years database experience with environmental and chemical data. Ability to execute queries with multiple joins, normalize data, import/export data files into various formats, query and report design in Access and EQuIS. Detailed knowledge of EQuIS data structures and database design. Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Access and Excel. Experience with building macros and VBA is a plus. Proven aptitude at learning new software. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong skills in working with and instructing personnel on an individual and team level.
