Fahrudin Bajric
Project on Legislation related to Residues
CEPI
Fahrudin Bajric is the holder of a Post-Graduate Degree in European Studies
and of a Master Degree in Economics. Temporarily at CEPI, he is in charge of
an assessment of the European legislative framework related to waste, as well
as of national practices and implementations mainly covering effluent residues.
Maria Gafo Gomez-Zamalloa

Maria Gafo Gómez Zamalloa is a Forest Engineer. She started working in the
European Commission in 2001 dealing with environmental issues related to
Energy and Transport. Since 2004, she has been working in the Forest-based
Industries Unit of Enterprise and Industry Directorate General. Before joining
the Commission, she was consultant with Arthur Andersen, specialised in the
Forest sector.
Geoff Hill
Business Development Director
Geoff Hill has worked in the paper industry for some 36 years during which time
he has held a variety of senior roles spanning sales, production, general
management and latterly strategic development. Throughout his career he has
been actively involved in industry affairs. Currently he holds the positions of
Vice Chairman CEPI Recycling, Chairman of the cross industry Food Contact
Strategy Group and is the UK Chairman of the Recycling Interest Management
Group.
Otto Linher

DG Environment, European Commission
Mr Otto Linher is administrator at the European Commission, DG Environment.
From 1996 to 1999, he was responsible for various environmental files in DG
Industry’s unit “Industrial aspects of environmental policies”. From 1999 to
2001, he worked on economic analyses on waste issues in DG Environment. In
2001, he joined DG Environment’s “Sustainable Production and Consumption”
unit. He was responsible for various subjects on resource and waste
management. Currently, he is the responsible desk officer for the Packaging
and Packaging Waste Directive.
Massimo Medugno
Deputy Director
Italian Pulp and Paper Industry (ASSOCARTA)
Massimo Medugno is Deputy Director of Assocarta, CEPI’s Italian member
association. He is responsible for the waste policy issues in the CEPI Recycling
Committee and is an expert in environmental legislation. He is a lawyer and
possesses a doctorate in law.
Jori Ringman
Recycling Director
CEPI
Jori Ringman has a background in Economics and a wide experience in
communications, public administration and politics. He worked in the European
Parliament Environment Committee as political advisor from 1999 - 2004. As
Recycling Director in CEPI, he is responsible for issues relating to paper
recovery and recycling, waste management as well as packaging.
