Question 1: Structure of the PMO (Max 500 words)
Outline how the PMO is structured within your organisation. Consider
the following:
 Describe the background of the PMO and how the need for it arose
within the context of the organisation. Describe the PMO functions,
its drivers, stakeholders and sponsors
 Delivery: Describe the methods and techniques used to effectively
manage the delivery of PMO services, and its wider vision. How was
this journey undertaken?
Question 2: Functions of the PMO (Max 500 words)
Describe the function of the PMO by outlining the following:
 Does the PMO support project/program/portfolio management
function for the business as an enterprise or as a functional /business
unit? If so, please describe your PPM process for selection, balancing
and management.)
 Interfaces: How did the management of the PMO interface and
collaborate with other areas and disciplines?

Question 3: Results and Benefits of the PMO (Max 500 words).
Consider the following:
 Contribution to successful outcomes for the organisation in terms of
improved project management maturity.
 Contribution to the organisation in terms of knowledge management
and culture. What is the legacy that the PMO has established?
 Contribution to the project management community in terms of
capability and skills
Question 4: People: Outline who works within the PMO and how people
were motivated and coordinated to achieve its objectives. How was a
professional approach, knowledge and skills developed and maintained
throughout the PMO? (max 500 words)

Question 5: Innovation and lesson learnt (max 500 words)
Consider the following:
 Challenges overcome: What difficulties were anticipated and/or
unforeseen during the delivery of this PMO? How were these
challenges overcome?
 Lessons learned: As part of PMO continuous improvement, what
lessons have you learned during the development of this capability and
how have these contributed to the successful development of your
PMO and wider project management maturity for your organisation.
 Managing innovation: What innovations were there in the way the PMO
was delivered for your organisation? What makes your PMO
successful and/or different? How can the wider profession benefit
from your PMO?
